Vila Prado House
Located in Fazenda Boa Vista, an exclusive residential enclave in the countryside of São Paulo, Vila Prado was designed for a traditional São Paulo family as a weekend retreat that balances comfort, elegance, and informality. Conceived as a house for hosting and gathering, the project integrates architecture and interiors into a cohesive whole, resulting in a residence that expresses a relaxed and timeless sophistication. The design draws inspiration from natural materials, earthy tones, and a restrained palette of black, brown, and neutral hues. The Aman New York Hotel served as a key reference for the client, influencing the atmosphere of calm, discretion, and refinement that guides the spatial and material choices throughout the project. With 2,100 square meters distributed on a single level, the house unfolds around a central courtyard that accommodates the swimming pool, fire pit, and principal social areas. This open core organizes the daily life of the residence and reinforces the connection between architecture, landscape, and use. Three independent bungalows surround the courtyard: a master bungalow, a family and guests bungalow, and a guest bungalow, together comprising eight suites. These volumes are connected by a bamboo-lined gallery that creates a gentle transition between spaces and strengthens the continuity with the surrounding landscape. The main structure linking the bungalows houses the primary social areas of the residence, consolidating living, dining, and gathering spaces into a central pavilion designed for conviviality and extended use.
