Nest Country Home

The project draws from the repertoire of English country houses, reinterpreted by Sig Bergamin and Murilo Lomas through a contemporary lens of comfort and outdoor living. Developed on a single level, the layout favors fluidity between interior and exterior spaces, strengthening the home’s direct connection to the garden. The exposed-brick façade establishes a classical character, integrating the architecture into the landscape. Inside, a palette of greens and beiges serves as the foundation for a curation that brings together art, design, and artisanal pieces. Large contemporary paintings coexist with compositions of objects, bespoke furniture, and antique finds, creating interiors that express both repertoire and memory. In the living room, On armchairs and the Marquesa chaise engage in dialogue with works by Bruno Dunley and Rodrigo Bivar, while pieces by Armani Casa, Ralph Lauren, and Jonathan Adler are layered with vintage furniture, structuring the visual composition. The library and social areas reinforce this overlap of eras and styles, where interior design operates as an extension of the architecture. Outdoors, black-metal chairs and sun loungers with striped fabrics define the linear pool area, integrating seamlessly with the landscape design by Maria João D’Orey. The result is a home conceived for convivial living, where architecture, interiors, and garden function as a continuous whole, expressing an informal yet sophisticated way of life connected to nature.
