Luxury Gallery Penthouse
In the heart of Porto Alegre, this penthouse expresses Sig Bergamin & Murilo Lomas’s approach to interior architecture as a spatial and curatorial construction. The project is organized around a direct dialogue between architecture, color, and an art collection of international scale. Art functions as a structural element of the space. Works by Anish Kapoor, Manolo Valdés, Carole Feuerman, Pablo Atchugarry, and Fernando Botero establish visual axes and proportions, integrated into the architecture with clarity and continuity. Color operates as a design tool. Blues, greens, reds, and yellows move through the interiors, shaping light and reinforcing volume. The central architectural gesture is the helical staircase, conceived as a sculptural element, counterbalanced by the swimming pool with a fully glass bottom, visible from the main living areas. Furniture and objects follow the same integrative logic, with pieces by Hervé Van der Straeten, a dining table by Jader Almeida, chairs selected by Patrick Naggar for Ralph Pucci, and lighting by Ingo Maurer, all treated as extensions of the architecture.
