Retro Pop Apartment

Urban and cosmopolitan, this apartment builds its impact on a classic black-and-off-white base, against which art and furniture take center stage with curatorial clarity. The interior is organized as a sequence of scenes in which artworks, pieces, and finishes carry equal weight. In the entry hall, a geometric console by Hervé Van der Straeten dialogues with the linearly patterned marble floor, creating a point of tension reinforced by a work by Os Gêmeos. The combination of form, materiality, and scale introduces the project’s vocabulary. In the study-library, blue millwork envelops the room and organizes books, objects, and art. An ebony desk with gold detailing pairs with an off-white leather executive chair and an acrylic chair upholstered in blue velvet, calibrating the contrast between material weight and transparency. Across the living areas, green serves as a unifying thread. Green velvet armchairs converse with fields of color, while marble tables and glass objects act as graphic pauses. In the bar, this language intensifies through detailed millwork and strongly veined marble. In the dining room, Italian-design armchairs upholstered in green velvet structure the composition around the table, while a sculptural glass-and-bronze chandelier treats light as an architectural element. Red acrylic interventions introduce a contemporary rhythm without disrupting the overall unity. The result is an authorial interior.
