Resedá House
Designed by Sig Bergamin and Murilo Lomas, this residence is conceived as a house that reveals itself through daily use and movement rather than through a frontal image alone. The overall organization prioritizes spatial experience, unfolding as a sequence of courtyards, verandas, and gardens that articulate the different areas of the home and soften the boundaries between interior and exterior. The site strategy distributes the volumes in a fragmented yet controlled composition, establishing a more intimate domestic scale and strengthening the relationship with the landscape. Covered galleries and deep porches function as essential intermediate spaces, qualifying circulation, expanding areas of social use, and providing climatic protection throughout the day. The architectural language draws on classical references reinterpreted with restraint. The composition explores proportion, symmetry, and the rhythm of openings without resorting to formal excess. Colonnades, generous eaves, and light-colored façades contribute to a calm and cohesive reading of the ensemble. The project is guided by the principles of permanence and longevity. The balanced relationship between architecture and landscape informs both spatial and constructive decisions, resulting in a house conceived to endure over time, with a clear domestic character and a strong connection to its setting.
