Entreposto Gardens

Veranda and foyer become a palace of passage—part maharaja’s tent, part Moroccan courtyard—plunging the visitor, from the very first step, into the exuberance of the Gardens collection. The emerald‑green and off‑white herringbone floor acts as a living carpet leading indoors. On it, wicker weaves, tooled bronze tables, Rajasthani trunks, and brass lanterns reveal a trove assembled over decades of travel through India, Morocco, and Turkey. Each piece dialogues with the collection’s chorus: silky velvets, vibrant ikats, timeless plaids, and monumental florals in shades of Blue, Red, Cedar, Camel, and Off White. Walls, curtains, and ceiling are dressed in the Gardens’ key print—an Indo‑colonial toile of elephants. Originally born on a red ground, the pattern emerges here in deep blue, a variation imagined by Sig’s discerning eye. The motif creates a textile pergola that “sprouts” across the space, while moucharabieh trellis mirrors multiply light, colour, and perspective. It is maximalism under strict control.
