The Heritage Farm Estate

Set within a historic farm in the countryside of São Paulo, this residence expresses the approach of Sig Bergamin and Murilo Lomas in shaping interiors as a cultural and visual narrative. The existing rural architecture establishes the context, while the interior design develops a language built through the layered composition of references and repertoires. The spatial experience unfolds through carefully structured sequences in which multicolored stained glass plays a central role: filtering natural light, articulating transitions between rooms, and defining the project’s visual identity. Doors, circulation areas, and private spaces operate as instruments of light and color. The furniture selection brings together different lineages: Brazilian modernist typologies—referencing the legacy of Joaquim Tenreiro, Sergio Rodrigues, and Zanine Caldas—coexist with contemporary pieces, handcrafted furniture, and collected objects. Wooden armchairs with woven cord and leather, slatted timber coffee tables, chandeliers made from natural branches, and organic-form mirrors shape the composition. Classically inspired wallpapers, natural fiber rugs layered with kilims, soft-toned textiles, and diffused lighting complete the interiors. Each space results from a curatorial approach grounded in proportion, texture, light, and memory. The project reveals a house conceived through language, where architecture and interior design operate as a unified expression, synthesizing the repertoire and authorial signature of Sig Bergamin.
