Provençal House

Conceived as a contemporary interpretation of European tradition, the interiors of this country house translate a Provençal sensibility into a more fluid, lived-in expression. The classical framework of the residence is reimagined through spaces that privilege comfort, texture, and a layered visual vocabulary, treating the idea of country living not as rusticity, but as a form of cultivated ease. In the outdoor areas, wicker furnishings define sitting arrangements that extend the interiors into the landscape. The lightness of the weave introduces texture and informality, balanced against the more structured character of the house. Inside, the language is shaped largely through textiles. Generously scaled upholstery anchors the rooms, while ikats, damask florals, stripes, and checks are composed with precision. The mix is guided less by contrast than by the interplay of pattern, scale, and tone. More than a decorative exercise, the project reads as a composition. Furniture, textiles, and objects operate in continuity, defining interiors where tradition, comfort, and visual culture coexist with quiet assurance.
