Sophisticated Elegance Apartment

In this São Paulo apartment, Sig Bergamin and Murilo Lomas craft a luxury of nuance. Beiges, camel, and off-white act as an editorial base, allowing form, volume, and texture to take the lead. In the entry hall, a black metalwork bench and a mirror by Hervé Van der Straeten establish an axis, while the geometric floor converses with stripes, turning pattern into an architecture for the eye. The main living room pairs modern Brazilian design with generous upholstery, with Yves Klein’s gilded tables delivering a precise point of shine. A second sitting area leans into fluidity through the organic lines of Pierre Augustin and tables by Lucas Recchia, supported by brass side pieces and the tactile presence of macramé curtains that stitch the spaces together. The dining room plays with expansion: a mirrored table, mirrors set between boiseries, and a crystal chandelier compose a choreography of reflections, with a Van der Straeten sideboard alongside candelabras and a work by Burle Marx, keeping art at the center. The study deepens the narrative with dark reds and a velvet sofa without breaking the palette’s control. In the primary suite, Phillip Jeffries’ Wild Blossoms wallpaper introduces serenity, with delicate stripes, rounded lines, and a rug that closes the room in comfort. Works by Wallace Pato, Burle Marx, and Artur Lescher appear with precision throughout, binding the home as curation.
